Each scarf is made by Craft Link, a leading non-profit organization working with over 40 local artisan groups in Vietnam. Craft Link cooperates with institutions such as the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to revive traditional crafts, and with various non-governmental organizations to carry out handicraft components of poverty alleviation programs. Goals include cultural preservation, income generation for small Vietnamese artisans, and acquiring new markets in a changing economy. In addition, Craft Link provides artisans with tools, interest-free loans, education, training and literacy classes.
Silk scarves measure approximately 65" L x 13" W (1.65 m x 33.02 cm). Handmade in and fairly traded from Vietnam.
